Although many people still believe that they can crunch themselves to a washboard stomach, the reality is that you need a variety of these easy exercises to lose belly fat and tone all the muscles in your abdominal cavity.

One of the easy exercises to lose belly fat is the vertical leg crunch, sometimes known as the reverse crunch. To perform this exercise you simply lie on the floor with your feet raised at a 45 degree angle from the floor. Hold this position until you start to shake a little and feel the tension then release. For couch potatoes this should take around 5 seconds, those who are more fit could last far longer. 20 seconds per lift is a good core training time.

Using an exercise ball to perform exercises is also a good way to strengthen your belly and back muscles while building on your balance and concentration.
