4 Ways to Lose Double Chin Fat
Hands up all of those who have to take special care when getting their photo taken or when looking in the mirror? The moment that you realize that you have a double chin is never a great one, but there are several things that you can do to lose double chin fat.
Of all the places that your body stores fat, why does your chin have to be one of them? People who have a round face are genetically more likely to have a double chin, but the good news is that by reducing your total body fat amount, you can effectively lose double chin fat as well.
1 – Diet
Did you know that there are foods which reduce fat? This also includes double chin fat – I know that it sounds a bit weird, but just as you have foods that help you to put on weight, so too are there foods that help your body to burn it off.
Carbohydrates are a great example. There are bad carbs, which includes anything with refined sugars or starches in, and which will invariably end up putting weight on you. On the other hand there are also good carbs like whole grains, fruits and vegetables which will give you a quick burst of sustainable energy, help you to feel fuller for longer and which also give your digestive system a workout.
The calcium in dairy products has also been shown to be very effective as a fat fighter as calcium has been shown to control where and how fat gets stored. So choosing low-fat dairy products is also a great way to fight fat .
The oils found in nuts, olives and fish are also great when you want to lose double chin fat because consuming these will help your metabolism to speed up. They are also extremely good for your heart and brain and help to keep those hunger pangs at bay.

2 – Exercise
Yes exercise. To lose double chin fat you need to reduce the overall amount of fat contained within your body. The best way to do this is by routine Cardio workouts for 3-5 hours a week. This includes walking, cycling, gardening or playing with the children.
Not only will you increase your metabolism and lose weight, but you will also feel far better.
3 – Toning
When it comes to having to lose double chin fat there are facial toning exercises which, although the science is a little sketchy, many people claim to be very beneficial.
One exercise involves sticking your bottom lip out as far as it will go and then bringing it up over your top lip, hold it there for around 10 seconds and then release. Doing this 30-40 times a day is reported to be a great way to lose double chin fat – or at least tone the muscle. Either way it is funny to watch so maybe the benefit comes from the laughter as you try to do this exercise in front of a mirror!
4 – Water
Water really is a miracle cure for many things and using it to lose double chin fat is a very good suggestion. If you are bloated and retaining fluid then one of the first places to show it is your face.
You can reduce the appearance of your double chin fat almost overnight by reducing the amount of salt and refined carbohydrates that you are eating – these encourage fluid retention – and by drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day you will help to remove the excess fluid.
